Philippine Army to hire 1K new officers before year ends

THE Philippine Army is now looking for 1,050 individuals to fill up its officer slots before the end of 2021 “to continuously build up a force to advance the organization’s operational gains and finally end the insurgency in the country.”

This is part of the total quota of 2,109 slots for the recruitment of army officers this year.

The agency has allocated the following slots:

- 400 slots for Officer Candidate Course (OCC)

- 400 for Officer Preparatory Course Class 73 and 74

- 100 for OCC-Reserve Officer Training Corps

- 100 for Call to Active-Duty Tour for Training

- 50 for Direct Commission

“This is a great opportunity for everyone, especially the youth who want to serve their fellow Filipinos and our beloved country,” said Lt. Gen. Andres Centino, Philippine Army Commanding General in a statement published on the agency’s Facebook page.

He also said that the Philippine Army “thoroughly selects the best and the brightest who will be the future leaders of the organization carrying out the noble duty of protecting the peace and stability of the nation.”
