Zambo police launch Barangayanihan Caravan

THE Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), in partnership with SM City Mindpro and various government agencies, launched Monday, October 25, its week-long Barangayanihan Caravan Toward National Recovery at the Level 2 of SM City Mindpro.

The week-long one-stop shop for ZamboangueƱos who wanted to avail government services such as application of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Police Clearance, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) Scholarship Package, health kits and medicines from Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Public Assistance Desk, and Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) information and education campaign materials and Pangkabuhayan Program, to name a few.

"This activity portrays a whole nation approach in informing the people on the accomplishments of the administration through the partnership with other agencies. The caravan in SM City Mindpro is a one-stop shop for everyone who are in need of services of the government," said Police Colonel Rexmel Reyes, ZCPO director.

Reyes said the caravan is a way of bringing government services nearer to the community and ease the burden of residents from lining up in different participating government agencies.

"We are one with Zamboanga City Police Office and other agencies in helping our community. The Barangayanihan Caravan is just one of the many government activations SM City Mindpro collaborated during the Covid-19 pandemic. With the trust and confidence given to us by the national and local agencies, government partnerships will likely increase before we end the year," said SM City Mindpro's Assistant Mall Manager Aileen Ann Enriquez.

The Barangayanihan Caravan ends on Friday, October 29. It is being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Level 2 of SM City Mindpro. (SunStar Zamboanga)
