'Drug den' dismantled, 5 persons arrested

OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Bacolod City Police Station 2 have dismantled two suspected drug den in Purok Tunay, Barangay 2 in the city on Sunday, October 24.

The operations also led to the arrest of Jun Monido "alias Jun," Enrique Esio "alias King," Arnulfo Filoteo Jr. "alias Paps," Kermit Aldober and Reynald Binarao "alias "Biboy, all residents of Bacolod City, the PDEA said.

Initial investigation showed that one of them sold a sachet of substance believed to be shabu to a poseur buyer around 3:30 p.m.

Recovered from the suspects' possession were several sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams and with estimated market value of P102,000, the marked money and drug paraphernalia.

Monido is the alleged maintainer of the drug den as claimed by the informants through the hotline "Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins."

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2.

They will be charged with violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, and 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
