PAMPANGA'S vibrant visual arts showcase every month with “Art in the Yard’ at SM City Telabastagan.
Different facets of Pampanga’s rich culture -- its painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, bringing art and people together by showcasing the works of different Kapampangan masters, modernists, and millennials in a monthly basis.
SM City Telabastagan campaigns Art in the Yard with new featured artists every month that aims to preserve and promote Kapampangan artistry.
Art in the Yard seeks to showcase the talent of emerging local artists and groups and provide them venue for exposure without curtailing creative exploration and expression.
Local artists featured for the year are Manuelito Madrid in June, Jhune Lobo in July, Guhit Pinas Pampanga in August and Alvin Dungca in September.
For this month, Art Within Your Reach highlights the works of Ana Algabre Hernandez a.k.a. pinANAri with Magical: Season of Joy.
Born and raised in Pampanga on 1965, Ana, a multi-talented artist -- poet, painter, book author and art competition winner -- grew up with her father, a prolific sculptor and watercolorist, where she fostered her passion for art at a young age.
Promoting Filipino story at home and abroad, her artworks have been exhibited in South Korea and Turkey and some have been donated to libraries, multicultural houses, and museums.
Having done seven solo shows, pinANAri participated in several group exhibitions such as in Angeles Museum and Asean Summit Exhibit 2017.
With her works, she hopes to promote Kapampangan artistry, keeping the art of painting alive for all generations
With Ana’s philosophy of “Let art into your life and your life be your art,” her artworks are fruits of her grit, love, aspirations, life experiences and reflections.
