268 PDLs in Angeles police stations jabbed

THE Angeles City Government has started vaccinating Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) housed at the six police stations and Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) via the Ronda Bakuna sa Barangay mobile bus clinic, targeting 268 inmates.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said that since the beginning, PDLs have been among the priority groups for vaccination, citing their high risk and vulnerability to the infection, being in enclosed spaces.

According to Malonzo, the mobile bus clinic is set to roam around the six stations in Barangay Sto. Rosario (Station 1), Sta. Teresita (Station 2), Pulung Maragul (Station 3), Balibago (Station 4), Cuayan (Station 5), Lourdes Sur East (Station 6), and ACDEU all day, October 26, 2021 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Malonzo added that the same system and procedure will be done for the second dose of the PDLs in December.

“Ang atin pong lungsod, sa pangunguna ni Mayor Lazatin, ay inilalapit na po mismo ang bakuna para sa kanilla. Tayo na po ang lalapit sa kanila para po masiguro ang seguridad at mabakunahan ang lahat ng ating mga inmates,” Malonzo said.

Also, a total of 1,335 PDLs in the Angeles District Jail also received their first dose of vaccines. (PR)
