Projects that defined Santos Land in the past 50 years

REAL estate industry has been a big economic contributor to Davao City’s growth for the past five decades. Before national and multinational real estate players entered here, there’s one homegrown developer that saw the city’s potential first as a viable real estate property hub.

One of the pioneering developers is Santos Land Development Corporation (SLDC).

“SLDC has become witness of Davao’s growth and we are happy that the company has helped the local economy thrive through the years as evident in our completed and ongoing projects,” SLDC marketing manager Estela Aguilos said.

For the past 50 years, here are some of Santos Land’s remarkable projects that define that company today:

Nova Tierra Village

As the pilot project of SLDC, Nova Tierra Village was indeed the start of the SLDC legacy. The 60-hectare property has now become one of the primary addresses in the city with its strategic location in various landmark establishments in the city.

Ilumina Estates

Situated in Communal Buhangin, Ilumina Estates I and II has a total of some 26 combined hectares developed under PD 957 type of development. It is a mid-cost to high-end development that proudly offers sophisticated and stylish residential units and good amenities that would surely elevate one’s everyday living.

Forest Hill Resort

The Forest Hill Resort comprises a 6.53 hectares land area at La Vista Monte Village, Matina Balusong, Davao City. It is about 14 kilometers from Davao International Airport. The area is generally mountainous and covered with trees provides a refreshing atmosphere therefore will be preserved and to observe environmental responsibility.

Celerina Heights

Celerina Heights, situated in Buhangin, is a 6.9712-hectare land developed by SLDC under BP220 type of development. It proudly has 207 sophisticated and stylish residential units and good amenities that would surely elevate your everyday living.

Syntek Agri-Bio Corp

For Agribusiness, SLDC is operating a 13-hectare fully automated poultry farm in Panabo City -- Syntek Agri-Bio Corp. The layer poultry farm is currently producing 210,000 eggs every month. SLDC also has plans of entering feed milling and piggery businesses.

Ivory Residences Condominium

The Ivory Residences is an 18-storey tower with 330 units of various sizes and is capable of housing approximately 120 parking units spread out over three floors.

The first vertical development project of SLDC will rise on a 4,700-square meter lot and is expected to be operational before 2021 ends or first quarter of 2022. The project was launched in 2017.

Plantacion Residences

SLDC has expanded its presence beyond Davao City as it launched in October 2017 its first out-of-town township project in Makilala, North Cotabato.

The project will soon rise within a 19-hectare property that will be divided into two components, the nine-hectare subdivision and the 10-hectare commercial component.

Other projects of SLDC include Hacienda Heights in Sasa; Tierra Verde Village in Panacan; La Verna Hills in Buhangin; El Rio Vista Village in Bacaca; Vista Verde Village in Panacan; Ciudad de Esperanza in Cabantian; Green Orchard Village Phase 1 in Indangan; Remedio Heights in Cabantian; Prisceilla Estates in Cabantian; and La Vista Monte in Matina Pangi; among others.
