A COMPANY with no loyal people is an empty company. No single firm has ever succeeded without the force of its workers.

But what makes employees stay for years, even decades? As homegrown developer Santos Land Development Corporation (SLDC) celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, we talked to its Gold Loyalty Awardees who have stayed with the company through thick and thin. Here’s what they say about how it is working with the company and why stayed:

Alberta Daroy

Why are you still with Santos Land?

I love how the company’s management from the president to the managers to the staff take care of us and they are easy to work with. They have been very supportive in our journey as real estate professionals.

Apart from that, I also stayed because I love my job, the challenges and blessings allowed me to grow especially when dealing with different kinds of buyers.

How does it feel to be a loyalty awardee?

I am happy and fortunate to be a recipient of this award, not all companies recognize the efforts and loyalty of their employees.

What made you stay with Santos Land?

I have been part of the SLDC family since 2007. I have seen the company grow as I also grow professionally and as I build my dreams and family around the core values of the company. I would like to thank SLDC for giving me the wonderful opportunity to be part of the company- a company which gave me so much accomplishment not only in terms of finances, travels and leisures but the experience of belongingness.

Why do you keep on selling SLDC products, properties?

SLDC is one of the pioneer developers in Mindanao. It has a name that has already captured the real estate market of southern Mindanao.

I am continuously selling products from SLDC because I can confidently recommend to my clients the output of the company aside from the fact that I received a hefty bonus every time I am able to close a deal.

What’s your message and wish for Santos Land for its 50th anniversary?

Being with SLDC for the past 25 years is quite a good life because they gave all the salesforce good motivation and support especially the travel incentives pre-pandemic. I salute you for being a generous and just company for its people. I hope that with the grace of God, we will be able to accomplish our plans and targets for the years to come, and know that we will be rallying behind and will continue to work as a team as long as you want our services.

What have you achieved so far in the years that you are with Santos Land?

I had been with SLDC since 1998 -- 23 years of selling the projects of SLDC. Throughout these years with SLDC, I was really blessed with so many things, which my family and I enjoy up to this day.

Some of the things I considered blessings and achievements are: reaching that financial freedom, the luxury to travel both local and international destinations, investments in real estate and land properties, having been able to set up my own businesses like apartment, lodging house, and rest house, and sending my children to decent and prestigious schools and universities in the city.

What’s your message for Santos Land for its anniversary?

It is my great pride and honor to become one of the producing brokers of SLDC through their best quality projects, customer-oriented operations, and full support and assistance from the Sales Marketing Department headed by Ma'am Estela Aguilos.

Congratulations SLDC on your 50th Anniversary! God bless and more power for the next 50 years.

How was your Santos Land experience?

I’ve been selling SLDC’s properties since the 1990s. I started selling some of their first few projects in Davao City. From then until now, SLDC never failed to deliver and fulfill its promise to the buyers in providing quality properties. They are also very consistent in giving us timely commission releases. They are also very supportive of us that is why my Santos Land experience was a delight and it’s an honor to be part of this company.

This 50th anniversary, I have nothing but a grateful heart for the company and I wish them more years to serve the community. I also want to let them know that they can expect me to continue selling their properties, I will always remain part of SLDC.
