2 nabbed in anti-drug stings in Zamboanga City

TWO people, including one on the drug watchlist, were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, a top police official announced Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Police Colonel Rexmel Reyes, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Anwar Alih, 24, and Danny Boy Bazan, 43.

Reyes said Alih was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, in Sitio Asinan, Kasanyangan village, Zamboanga City.

Reyes said seized from Alih were some P6,000 worth of suspected shabu, P200 marked money and a coin purse.

Reyes said Bazan, who is on the drug watchlist, was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 5:27 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, in Turawan Drive, Mampang village, Zamboanga City.

He said Bazan was found in possession of some P53,404 with of suspected shabu and marked money.

He said formal charges will be filed against the arrested suspects. (SunStar Zamboanga)
