THE president of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) said people need sunlight and exercise to have a strong body which is a good defense against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Manuel R. Gaerlan, president and chief executive officer of CDC, said this during a fellowship night with Pampanga mediamen on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Creekside Bar, Midori Hotel in Clark Freeport.

Gaerlan underscored the importance of people's physical and mental well-being of people to prevent being infected by the virus.

According to Gaerlan, he has been receiving numerous complaints about children frequenting parks and other recreational areas in Clark.

The CDC chief, however, said the state-run firm decided to allow visitors including kids over the past few days as the country, including the province, shifted to a more relaxed quarantine status.

Gaerlan at the same time expressed hopes that the country's Covid-19 situation will get better in the coming months.

He also advised Clark residents and residents of Central Luzon visiting the Freeport to always observe health protocols and cleanliness while inside the area.

The biggest water park in Central Luzon, Aqua Planet, is set to open on March 18, 2021, its officials who graced the event disclosed.

The CDC president thanked Midori Hotel and Aqua Planet for hosting the fellowship night with newsmen.
