WHILE the sisters Mira (Andrea Brillantes) and Joy (Francine Diaz) struggle to settle their differences, they likewise face a bigger battle against the forces of evil brought about by the delusional Deborah (Eula Valdez), while at the same time struggle to fulfill the mission given by “Bro.”

The issue between Mira and Joy becomes more complicated as the latter continues to distance herself from the former, and eventually, joins Deborah’s cult. Will both sisters be able to accomplish the mission?

This question can be answered in the last three weeks of the inspirational television series “Huwag Kang Mangamba.”

Meanwhile, the cast recalled the memorable and beautiful experiences during the shoot of the series at the finale media conference held recently. Except for Kyle Echarri—who is one of the housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10”—Andrea, Francine, Seth Fedelin, Enchong Dee, Dominic Ochoa, RK Bagatsing, Eula Valdez, Matet de Leon, Mylene Dizon, Sylvia Sanchez, Noli Buencamino and the other young stars were present and gladly exchanged views with the media and the bloggers from different parts of the country and the world.

The young stars shared their learnings on bonding and “pakikisama.” The senior stars praised the younger set for showing respect to the older ones and their eagerness to learn from them.

Brilliantes had the realization that everything is temporary. Both she and Diaz had learned to trust in Bro (the Lord), that He is always there to help. The younger set also admitted that social media tends to keep them away from the Lord, thus, a balance has to be kept.

Fedelin shared that aside from the directors, he also received acting tips from Ochoa on how to improve his acting and attack the role in informal discussions in between takes.

Brilliantes, Diaz and Fedelin appreciated each other as friends and as actors, and also had nice words for Echarri.

Director Manny Palo said the series “shows the great force that is ready to listen and just awaits to be called.”

Director Darnel Villaflor said it “teaches viewers how to discern and filter all the noises around us” and to “listen to what the Lord says.”

Palo had good words for the “Gold Squad” (Brillantes, Diaz, Echarri, Fedelin), describing them as always ready to play their roles side by side with award-winning actors. The four young stars did not stagnate but instead grew up with their characters.

Villaflor described the four as cooperative, willing to collaborate and having the heart to listen and help each other.

“Huwag Kang Mangamba” is aired weeknights (after “FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano”) on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, WeTV and iflix.

Viewers outside the country can also watch it on The Filipino Channel on cable and IPTV.
