Gokongwei Brothers Foundation opens 'Iskolar ni Juan' applications

GOKONGWEI Brothers Foundation (GBF), in partnership with Universal Robina Corporation (URC), is calling interested senior high school graduates to apply for the Iskolar ni Juan (INJ) Program, a Technical-Vocational Certification Scholarship Program.

GBF highly prioritizes applicants from Pampanga, Tarlac, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon Province.

The program offers a fully subsidized one-year scholarship covering tuition fees, school supplies, uniforms, accommodation, food, and transportation allowances.

Boarded at the GBF Technical Training Center in Calamba City, Laguna, the scholars undergo GBF’s signature TESDA-registered program followed by an On-The-Job Training and employment at URC as a production operator or machine maintenance technician.

At the end of the program, scholars earn either a Certificate of Completion in Mechatronics Servicing or a Certificate of Completion in Instrumentation and Control Servicing from the GBF Technical Training Center. Consequently, they take TESDA’s competency-based assessment and obtain a National Certificate Level II (NC II). The current passing rate of scholars in the said test is 100 percent.

Since 2014, Iskolar ni Juan has graduated over 350 scholars.
