Pampanga now on alert level 2

THE province of Pampanga and Angeles City have been placed under Alert Level 2 after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) approved on Thursday, October 28, the recommendation to further expand the pilot implementation of the Alert Level System from November 1 to 14 to Central Luzon, Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao, as well as Baguio City as an area for special monitoring.

Pampanga and the rest of Central Luzon were not under the alert level system before expansion.

The other areas in Central Luzon under Alert Level 2 are Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales and Olongapo City.

Bataan province and Aurora province are under Alert Level 3 and 4, respectively.

At Covid-19 Alert Level 2, there is a low risk of community transmission and healthcare utilization.

Under this alert level, only casinos, horse racing, cockfighting and operation of cockpits, lottery and betting shops and other gaming establishments are not allowed, unless permitted by the pandemic task force or the Office of the President.

Other activities that the government has placed restrictions on are allowed at 50-percent indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated individuals and 70-percent outdoor venue capacity.

This includes limited face-to-face classes for basic education subject to the approval of the Office of the President.

Government agencies are fully operational under Alert Level 2, with at least 50 percent of its workers reporting on site.

Restrictions

At Alert Level 3, Covid-19 cases are high and increasing. There is also increasing utilization of hospital beds and ICUs.

Restrictions on the movement of people based on age and comorbidities are left up to the local government subject to the oversight, monitoring and evaluation of the regional pandemic task force.

Areas under Alert Level 3 will see a marked loosening of restrictions, with cinemas and move houses and limited face-to-face classes for higher education and technical vocation education are allowed at 30 percent indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people and 50 percent outdoor venue capacity.

Under Alert Level 4, coronavirus cases are high and increasing. Hospital bed and intensive care utilization are high.

Everyone except for those below 18, above 65, with immunodeficiencies, comorbidities and other health risks, and pregnant women can travel subject to regulations set by the local government unit of destination.

Minors and those identified as part of the vulnerable population can still access essential goods and services and work in permitted industries and offices.

Beginning November 1 until 14, 2021, Aurora, Bacolod City, Negros Oriental and Davao Occidental will be under Alert Level 4.

Bataan, the National Capital Region, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Iloilo City, Siquijor, Lanao del Norte, Davao City, and Davao del Norte will be under Alert Level 3.

Baguio City was included as an area for special monitoring and will be under Alert Level 3.

Also under Alert Level 2 are Batangas, Quezon Province, Lucena City, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cebu Province, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro City, Camiguin, Iligan City, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur and Davao Oriental.
