THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, with 26 additional cases reported over the weekend.
The city now has a total of 20,185 Covid-19 cases.
The City Health Office said of the 26 local cases, nine were local index cases, 11 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, five were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and one Apor with link.
The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 548, of which 88 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 458 were outpatients, and two were ROFs/LSIs.
Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered."
Over the weekend, the city recorded 48 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,800.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 837.
