THE City Government of San Carlos has recently opened its Agri Tourism Negosyo Fair at the People's Park.
The fair is open to the public for free until November 14, 2021.
This features local exhibitors and entrepreneurs with various produce such as vegetables, organic products, rabbit meat, variety of plants, paintings and handicrafts made by persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) of the San Carlos City District Jail.
Dr. Archilles Ponferrada, focal person of San Carlos City Cultural Heritage Council and head of People's Park Management Office, said they came up with the activities to enliven the celebration of the city fiesta.
The event is also to help the local business sector since the pandemic greatly slackened the usual movement especially the economic activities.
He added that it is beneficial for both entrepreneurs and consumers since organic products will have its venue and for the latter to get said products at lower price.
Ponferrada urged local residents and tourists to visit the trade fair for them to enjoy and experience San Carlos City's local goods and cuisines.
City Mayor Renato Gustilo, on the other hand, said they have plans for more activities at the people's park especially for Christmas.
The city will also continue the free admission but with consideration that only those vaccinated exhibitors and visitors may enter the park, he added.
Also present during the event were Sangguniang Panlungsod member Lorna Hinolan together with the City Tourism Office staff, City Environment Management Office, People's Park Management Office and Negosyo Center. (PR)
