VARIOUS local government units (LGUs) in Negros Occidental are now conducting vaccination against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) for minors without comorbidities.

Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II said the vaccination for minors without comorbidity is ongoing until Thursday, November 4, at the Negros Residences in Bacolod City.

Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are being administered to minors, he said.

Minors should be registered at their respective localities with their birth certificate and parents consent while those with comorbidity shall bring medical certificates with their parents, the official said.

Meanwhile, Diaz confirmed that a provincial doctor who is the medical officer of Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital died last month due to complications.

Dr. John Vic Caagbay reportedly succumbed to Covid-19 after about a month and a half of battling against the disease at the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center.

Kabankalan City Public Information Officer Jake Gonzales confirmed that Dr. Lorina Baylon Crobes, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences of the Central Philippine State University (CPSU) and Dr. Gladys Patindol of the Kabankalan District Hospital in Barangay Tabugon were the recent victims of Covid-19 in Kabankalan City.
