THE City Health Office recorded 25 new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro, bringing the cumulative caseload to 20,226.
Of the 25 new confirmed cases, six were local index cases, four were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 14 were persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), and one mortality.
Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 515. Of the figure, 84 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 430 were outpatients, and one ROF/LSI.
The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered 18 new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,872.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 839.
