Most of Oro's active cases are in Barangay Carmen

MOST of the active cases in Cagayan de Oro are residents in Barangay Carmen, according to the report of City Health Office.

The cumulative number of active cases in the city has climbed to 3,256, of which 881 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 2,372 were outpatients, and three are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs)/locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

As of August 27, Barangay Carmen has 390 active cases. This is followed by Barangays Balulang with 266 active cases; Kauswagan with 243 cases; Lumbia with 203 cases; Bulua with 193 cases; Iponan with 186; Bugo with 157 cases; Macasandig with 140 cases; Patag with 138 cases; and Gusa with 116 cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of August 27 was 283,262, of which 195,443 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 87,219 were fully vaccinated.

According to the data, of the 283,262 vaccinated individuals, 216,908 were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites while 66,354 were vaccinated in the hospitals.

Among those who were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites, 25,017 were frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 52,225 were senior citizens (A2 group), 69,881 were persons with comorbidities (A3 group), 64,680 were essential frontline workers (A4 group), 1,860 were from the A5 group, and 3,245 were others from Filipino-Chinese community.
