Angeles grateful for help of 64 volunteer doctors

ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. is grateful to the 64 pediatricians who volunteered to assist the City Government in its inoculation of minors.

"We are exhausting all the resources we need to fast-track the vaccination in the city," Lazatin said.

He said it would be of great help for the City Government to have partners who will ensure the safety, health and welfare of minors in receiving the vaccines.

Among the pediatricians who will be present during the inoculation via schedule are doctors Justine Yap,,Carleen Araos, Rowena Valerio, Paul Hernandez, Marifel Natividad, Debbie Marquez, Melody Franco, Michelle Mercado, RJ Barro, Lea Marie Yap-Angeles, Lhan Msp, Ma. Lourdes Lagunilla, Susan Manarang, Joel Ayson, Nina P. Reyes, Lana Pangilinan, Jocelyn Velez Fernando, Nenette Bucaneg, Analyn Mendoza, Annabel Reboroso, Cheska Pantig, Louisa Magnaye-de Vera, and Joyce Salvador.

Also offering their free services for the vaccination to the 12-17 age group are doctors Jonathan Peralta, Julie Pantig, Karen Gomez, Hanni Ordoñez, Ney Manuel, Cielo Arañez, Michelle Manarang-Pelayo, Melissa Velasquez, Dinah Bognot, Janelle Campo, Maritess Henson-Tayag, Remedios Eulalia, Marlyn Galicia, Tintin Basa-Lacson, Esmeralda B. Baron, Hans Balgan, Shirley Jorquia, Crislyn Samia, Mary Jane Montemayor, Harold David, Rosequiel Villena, Pamela Peralta-Pongco, Erin Tayag-Lacsina, Vianney Mandapat, Camille Matic, Bernadette Halili-Mendoza, Faye Natividad, and Lady France Dela Cruz.

Doctors Marilyn Orpilla, Paul Anthony Bansil, Kristine Roa, Melanie Guinto Yap, Rhia Tan, Charm Arribe, Liz Yturralde-Medina, Ching Encarnacion, Adrie Salunga, Cindy Miclat, Rosequiel Villena, Abigail Duya, and Carleen Araos will also be included among the pediatrician-volunteers.

The City Government is set to vaccinate the 12 to 17 age group from November 5 to November 15, 2021 through the Sundo Bakuna sa Barangay vaccination program launched by Lazatin.

Lazatin said the vaccination of all minors in the 33 barangays will be finished in 10 days, fetching them from home and taking them to the city's two mega vaccination sites -- the City College of Angeles and the Angeles City National High School.

Lazatin's Chief Adviser IC Calaguas explained that the following schedule per barangay, guidelines and requirements for the vaccination on minors are posted on the City Information Office Facebook page.

Lazatin earlier appealed to the City's public and private schools to excuse students who are scheduled for vaccination through the City's Sundo Bakuna program. (PR)
