A TOTAL of 359 police recruits in Eastern Visayas took their oath at Camp Ruperto Kangleon in Palo, Leyte Friday, November 5, 2021.

“Today, you are formally part of Team Philippine National Police. Therefore, it is expected of you to adhere to all its mandates. Now that you will soon have to endure the next phase, it is my moral duty as your regional director, to remind you to adhere to the ideals of the organization,” Brigadier General Rommel Bernardo Cabagnot told the new batch of police officers during the ceremony.

Cabagnot reminded the police recruits “to be accountable to the people and serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency.”

Out of the 1,326 applicants for the 2020 second attrition recruitment program, only 359 successfully passed the rigorous process.

The police regional command said 180 of the passers are males while 179 are females.

The police recruits will undergo the six-month mandatory training of Public Safety Basic Recruit Course at the Regional Training Center-Eastern Visayas in San Jose, Tacloban City, followed by a six-month Field Training Program. (SunStar Philippines)
