Angeles City posts 10,000 inoculation record

THE Angeles City Government has set a new record of vaccinating 10,531 individuals in a single day.

The new record of 10,531 vaccination was posted on November 4, surpassing the earlier record of 10,183 set on September 23.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. called it “a milestone for the city as it marches towards herd immunity.”

To date, a total of 255,540 already received their first dose of vaccines while 185,644 are now fully vaccinated.

Lazatin has cited the vaccination team consisting of 400 working staff for the fast-paced vaccination drive.

The vaccination team is led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, chief implementer of the City Government's vaccination program.

Members of the team include Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and health workers and staff from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center led by Dr. Froilan Canlas, City Health Office led by Dr. Verona Guevarra, Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Rodolfo Simeon, Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office headed by Irish Bonus-Llego, City Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Edna Duaso, Angeles City Tourism Auxiliary and Angeles City Barangay Outreach led by Michael Lising, Mayor's Office Record’s Section Head Jermaine Jam Aguila, City Engineer Office headed by Engr. Donato Dizon, Chrysalene Cunanan of Quality Management System, Business Permit and Licensing Division headed by Evangeline Malonzo, Angeles City Tourism Office led by Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, Blood Bank led by Jennifer Balatbat, Angeles City Traffic Development Office led by Francis Pangilinan, City Nutrition Office led by Donatila Guanzon, City College of Angeles, and Angeles City Police Office.

The city has seen a steady decline in the number of Covid-19 cases, where it recorded no new cases on November 3.

The World Health Organization earlier commended the launched blended scheme vaccination of Lazatin as a great strategy to fast track the vaccines alongside bringing it closer to the constituents.
