7 University of Cebu students in top 10 of Customs Broker exam

SEVEN students from the University of Cebu (UC) and the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue (UCLM) made it to the top 10 of the November 2021 Customs Broker Licensure Examination, including the first placer, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021.

Jo Justin Lumongsud Ochea of UCLM was the best of them all, placing first among the 282 examinees who passed the exam given by the Board for Customs Brokers in Manila, Cebu and Davao this month. Ochea obtained a rating of 87 percent.

Genemae Seguido Caliwan from UC placed second with a rating of 86.25 percent, sharing the spot with Jun Verginesa Suarez of Gordon College (the former Olangapo City College).

UC’s Dan Mark Libaton Ygot placed fifth with a rating of 85 percent, sharing the spot with Timothy Paul Rodriguez Angeles of Philippine Merchant Marine School (PMMS)-Las Piñas and Mariannie Suclan Dujali of Aklan Polytechnic Institute.

UC’s Nelson Villanueva Ciano Jr. placed seventh, sharing the 84.25 percent rating with Arlene Cazar Miculob of Philippine Maritime Institute (PMI)-Bohol and Liza Angelica Villanueva Reyes of PMI-Manila.

UC’s Gladys Jean Estrera Cuyos and UCLM’s Michael Catchava Glinogo both placed eighth, sharing their 84 percent rating with Dan Emmanuel Sanchez Quiambao of Gordon College.

Finally, UC’s Jerome Torrejos Augusto placed ninth with a rating of 83.75 percent. Sharing the same spot were Jan Christopher MC Mahon Balleza of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila and John Ricky Fernandez Estrada of PMMS-Las Piñas.
