JFT-Basic as an alternative to JLPT

DUE to the Covid-19 pandemice, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) has been canceled. However, those who have been preparing for it can still opt for the JFT-Basic, which is held six times a year.

The JFT-Basic uses computers to administer its tests. The test center also properly observes social distancing and other coronavirus preventive measures. More details on the test can be found on the JFT-Basic website at https://www.jpf.go.jp/jft-basic/sample/q01.html.

Registration begins in even-numbered months (February, April, June and so on) and the test begins in odd-numbered months (March, May, July and so on). For registration, those who register as a group or organization must register at least 15 days before their preferred test days; while those who register individually must register at least three days before their test. For more details, one can check the JFT-Basic official website at https://www.jpf.go.jp/jft-basic/e/index.html.

Registration for the November-December exams began on Oct. 21, 2021. There will also be exams in January 2022. SPONSORED CONTENT
