OFFICIALS of the Gideon International (GI) Philippines-Zamboanga Peninsula in coordination with the Office of the Post Evangelical Chaplain of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) distributed Bibles on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, to all offices of the command.

Retired Colonel Luvismindo Rondael, GI Philippines-Zamboanga Peninsula president and an elder of the Zamboanga Alliance Evangelical Church, led the distribution of Bibles.

Rondael was assisted during the activity by Brother Remie Talaver, chairperson of the association, and lawyer Rhett Plagata, the association’s legal secretary. They were joined by Commander Edwin Ello, assistant chief of Unified Command Staff for Personnel of Westmincom.

The Bibles were received by representatives from the different offices of Westmincom.

Before the distribution of the Bibles, Rondael and the party paid a courtesy call on the Westmincom leadership.

They were received by Brigadier General Arturo Rojas, Westmincom’s deputy commander for operations, and Colonel Elmer Suderio, chief of Unified Command Staff of Westmincom.

“Westmincom Commander, Major General Alfredo Rosario, Jr., would like to extend his gratitude to the GI-Philippines for this generous deed. The Bible is one of the effective tools to enrich our souls and strengthen our faith,” Rojas said in their short dialogue.

Rondael on the other hand thanked the Westmincom for allowing them to touch lives through the distribution of the Bibles.
