NEW coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to decline, as the city recorded six new cases, bringing the cumulative caseload to 20,311.
Of the six new confirmed cases, four were local index cases and two were close contacts of previously confirmed cases.
Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 502. Of the figure, 90 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 409 were outpatients, and three ROFs/LSIs.
The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered four new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,969.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 840.
