THE Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, through the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO), in partnership with Ayala’s community development program dubbed “Alagang Ayala Land,” launched the Abanse Negrense Dairy Product at the Fiesta Market, Ayala Malls Capitol Central on Thursday, November 12, 2021.

Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena said the project is a marketing enterprise aimed at promoting and making available the province’s dairy products to all the Negrenses.

Decena said the firm provided a space, which is free of charge, for the province.

“To make it available daily, the PVO will be marketing its farm cattle dairy production which includes fresh milk and yogurt in various flavors like chocolate, ube, buko pandan, strawberry and mango as well as its yogurt ice cream with mixed fresh fruits,” he added.

The provincial veterinarian cited the support of Ayala in the continuous promotion of local products “by encouraging all Negrenses to get involved in patronizing our very own dairy products directly fresh from the provincial government-run farm.”

The PVO has been engaged in dairy production since 2001. It has gained recognition for having one of the outstanding dairy farms operated by a provincial government.

The province received the Citation on Food Safety Compliant Farm by the National Dairy Authority Awards 2019 last year.

Decena said it has been the advocacy of the provincial government, under its Abanse Negrense Development Agenda, to incorporate dairy projects on improving the health status of school children as well as the welfare of the milk-consuming public.

It also aims to subtly shift the preference of Negrenses from other beverages to milk by promoting and patronizing the province-produced fresh milk from its Provincial Livestock Center and Breeding Center at Barangay La Granja in La Carlota City, he added.

The list of products available for orders included fresh cow’s raw milk (unprocessed), fresh processed milk (pasteurized), and processed flavored milk, fresh milk (plain, flavored, milk bottle).

For dairy product orders or inquiries, the PVO can be reached through 433-9850 and 434-5924.

Meanwhile, the activity was also attended by Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz II, PVO Farm Management Division Officer-In-Charge Genevieve Dela Peña, and Ayala Malls Capitol Central Operation Associate Bianca Kilayko, among others.
