Sugbuanon bag-ong AFP chief

GITUDLO ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte sa Biyernes, Nobyembre 12, 2021, si Philippine Army chief Lieutenant General Andres C. Centino isip bag-ong chief of staff sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Si Centino maoy mohulip sa chief of staff sa AFP nga si General Jose Faustino Jr., kinsa niabot na sa mandatory retirement nga edad nga 56 sa Biyernes, Nobyembre 12.

Si Centino sakop sa Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988.

Sa usa ka pamahayag, ang tigpamaba sa AFP nga si Colonel Ramon Zagala, niingon nga si Centino “has immense knowledge and experience in leading our troops on the ground and in supporting peaceful efforts to protect our people against various threats.”

“His integrity, management acumen and genuine desire for peace and development make him a competent leader who shall guide the AFP in fulfilling its mission while supporting national efforts to battle the current pandemic,” matod niya.

“The appointment of Lieutenant General Centino will prompt an upward movement in the AFP leadership that will further inspire our soldiers to surpass challenges with excellence and continue our campaign t owards genuine transformation,” dugang ni Zagala.

Si Centino natawo sa Dakbayan sa Tacloban niadtong 1967, apan sa Sugbo siya nagdako.

Si Centino nigraduwar sa University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu sa high school.
