THE Philippines’ national vaccination program continues to gain momentum, as the country’s daily vaccination rate breached the one million mark twice within this month.

“Noong November 10, one million na po ang nabakunahan sa ating mga kababayan at noong November 11, is 1.2 (million),” said Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor, who is also the National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19’s head of strategic communications on current operations.

“Nakikita natin ang trend ng pagtaas ng pagbabakuna sa ating mga kababayan,” he added on Saturday, November 13, as he welcomed the arrival of 1,279,000 doses of procured Moderna vaccines.

He also congratulated local government units throughout the country, particularly the cities of Baguio and Iloilo, for ramping up their vaccination throughput and achieving high inoculation rates.

US Embassy Political Counselor Kenneth Gardner, Health Undersecretary Ma. Carolina Vidal-Taiño, and Zuellig Pharma Market Managing Director Jannette Jakosalem also witnessed the arrival of the vaccines at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.

As of November 13, the Philippines already has a total of 123,258,340 Covid-19 vaccine doses. (PR)
