MURDER charges are being readied against a laborer who stabbed dead his uncle in La Castellana town, Negros Occidental Thursday, November 17, 2021.

The charges will be filed against Justin Tribo, 23, of Sitio Binalbagan in Barangay Masulog in the town, case investigator Staff Sergeant Francis Barillo said.

As of Thursday, November 18, the family of Alden Alojepan, 39, are still preparing the necessary documents including his death certificate so they could file the case, Barillo said.

Alojepan, who is the brother of village chief Nolito Alojepan of Barangay Masulog, is the second cousin of the suspect’s father.

Initial investigation showed that Alojepan and Tribo were having a drink at the house of their neighbor, who was identified only as “Alyas Potoy,” when they got into a heated argument.

Tribo left, went home, got a knife and stabbed Alojepan on his abdomen, Barillo said.

Alojepan was brought to the La Castellana Rural Clinic and was transferred to Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital in Bacolod, where died while being treated past 6 p.m., he said.
