Oro records highest number of vaccinated individuals in a day

IN THE entire country, Cagayan de Oro recorded the highest number of vaccinated individuals in a single day, City Mayor Oscar Moreno said.

According to the data from the City Health Insurance Office, on Wednesday, November 17, the city was able to inoculate 10,218 individuals, of which 8,290 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 1,923 were fully vaccinated.

"In the entire country sa Pilipinas, ang Cagayan de Oro kagahapon number one sa vaccination," Moreno said during the regular press briefing at the City Hall on Thursday, November 18.

The cumulative number of individuals who have received their doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in Cagayan de Oro as of November 17 was 658,991.

Of the 658,991 vaccinated Kagay-anons, 379,878 got their first dose of the vaccines, while 279,113 were fully vaccinated.

According to the said data, among the 658,991 vaccinees, 57,414 were frontline healthcare workers, 68,698 were senior citizens, 133,824 were persons with comorbidities, 310,894 were essential frontline workers, 30,433 were from the A5 priority group, 38,585 were from the ROAP group, and 19,143 were from pedia A3 and ROPP groups.

Meanwhile, there were no new mortalities of vaccinated persons in Cagayan de Oro.

The number of deaths involving vaccinated persons in Cagayan de Oro remained at 81.

Of the said figure, 41 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine, 19 with AstraZeneca, 12 with Janssen, six with Sputnik V and three with Pfizer.

Cagayan de Oro now has a total of 846 Covid-19 deaths, in which the majority or 765 (90 percent) were unvaccinated.
