MURDER charges were filed before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office Thursday, November 18, 2021, against a man who killed his neighbor in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
Charges were filed against Alex Bernabe Purok Lampirong in the barangay, Police Lieutenant Jonito Pastrana, deputy chief of Police Station 2, said.
Investigation showed that Fernando Padilla was sleeping inside his house past midnight when the suspect barged in and stabbed him several times.
Bernabe attempted to hide at the house of his friend, who contacted the police that led to the suspect’s arrest.
The stabbing occurred several days after Padilla and Bernabe had a heated argument after the victim accused the latter of firing a firearm near his residence, Pastrana said.
Padilla succumbed to multiple stab wounds at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
