A ONE-YEAR-OLD boy, whose name is being withheld, died in a freak drowning incident in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2021.
Joan Escaro, 32, of Villa Barbas 1 in Barangay Zone-2 and the victim’s uncle told police that he found his niece inside a tub full of water and was no longer moving, prompting him to seek help.
The victim was brought to Cadiz City Emergency Clinic, but he was already dead, a police report said.
Initial investigation showed that the boy was alone as his parents were not around when the incident happened.
The Cadiz City police have ruled out possible foul play behind the boy’s death.
