Thanksgiving Day may be an American tradition and institution, but Filipinos have also adopted the celebration and come to take it as another opportunity to gather with family and friends over a sumptuous feast.
For us, it is a time to reflect on the past year and express gratitude for the abundance we’ve received, whether it’s in the form of good relationships, work opportunities or sound health.
This year, it is celebrated on Nov. 25, and like they say, you can worry about the Christmas tree later as Thanksgiving is all about the “poul-tree.”

Waterfront Cebu’s UNO restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving feast for P998 net per person.
From 6 to 10 p.m. on Nov. 25, Waterfront brings the tradition alive for everyone to enjoy. The dinner buffet will feature the holiday’s well-loved dishes such as roasted turkey with cranberry sauce and honey-glazed ham, among others. To ensure a safe and pleasant dining experience for its guests, the city hotel continues to implement minimum safety and health measures. Feria at Radisson Blu Cebu
Guests can carve some memories at Radisson Blu’s Feria where the traditional roasted turkey takes center stage. Also worthy of the spotlight are the turkey leg roulade with turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted chuck of beef with Yorkshire pudding, bourbon pork ribs and lemon chicken. It wouldn’t be a feast without desserts such as cherry pie, pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream, New York cheesecake, pecan pie, brioche monkey bread and buttered pecan and salted caramel ice cream.
All these will be served along with all-time favorites from Feria plus one round of wine and unlimited chilled juices.

Cafe Bai at Bai Hotel Cebu
Bai Hotel Cebu’s buffet restaurant is reopening on Nov. 24, just in time for its Thanksgiving Day buffet that will highlight a wide variety of continental dishes and a premium selection of roasts. Cafe Bai’s special Thanksgiving lunch and dinner buffet will include prime rib, turkey, ham and a delectable set of local seafood to complete the celebration. Special Thanksgiving dishes are also on the menu. For desserts, diners can indulge in assorted pies or cheesecakes, and a whole lot more.
