ONLY 25 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Pampanga on November 23, Tuesday, according to data from the Department of Health’s (DOH) coronavirus tracker, which showed a decline in the number of infections in the province.
This brought the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Pampanga to 69,013, as November 24. Of this number, 66,988 have recovered from the disease. The total number of active cases is now down to 301.
Some 1,724 people have since died from the disease since the start of the pandemic.
The DOH data also showed that of the total confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, 53,755 of the confirmed cases are from Pampanga, while another 15,258 are from Angeles City.
Local data from the Provincial Government of Pampanga and Angeles City, however, vary on the actual number of cases, deaths and active cases.
The DOH said that Pampanga had recorded 195 new cases in the last 14 days.
The DOH data also showed that local health facilities in Pampanga are no longer stretched compared to previous weeks with the number of coronavirus infections having declined significantly.
Of the 47 health facilities in Pampanga, only one is now in critical level while another facility is at high risk.
Pampanga’s bed occupancy is currently at 11.0 percent, one of the lowest in previous weeks. This means that only 116 of the total 1,050 hospital beds available in the province are currently occupied. Some 934 hospital beds remain vacant.
