Iloilo mayor thanks More Power

ILOILO City residents and businesses for five months now are enjoying lower electricity bills courtesy of improved utility services of More Power Iloilo.

Since July, reduced rates at around P6 per kilowatt-hour for residential, intermediate, commercial and power uses, have saved more than P3 per kilowatt hour (kWh) less than the June billings.

Mayor Jerry Treñas credited inexpensive electric bills resulting from improvements of utilities, which redound to social services boost and economic benefits for the people.

"We are thanking More Power for the reduction in the electric rates. It has allowed our businessmen and our residents to enjoy the low rates and set aside savings for other needs like education and health, among others," Treñas said.

Affordable energy also attracts investors and creates additional jobs.

More Power said the good news is their way of saying, “Thank you for your business and for your continued understanding and cooperation for the rehabilitation and upgrade that we are implementing towards a better, modernized but with cheap power rate distribution utility in this part of the country.” (PR)
