THE Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental and the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) in Bacolod City made it to the top 30 best performing schools in the November 2021 Civil Engineering (CE) Licensure examinations.

CHMSC ranked number one all over the Philippines after 40 out of 41 examinees from the institution, or about 97.56 percent, passed the CE Licensure Examinations administered by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on November 25 this year.

Having 60 percent passing rate, or 26 out of 40 examinees, UNO-R was at the 20th place.

The top two and six examinees also came from these schools, the PRC reported.

UNO-R graduate Charlene Grace Gelotin of Bago City garnered 92.75 percent rating, short of 0.5 percent from Rajiv Nooh Amil of Ateneo De Davao, who got 93.25 percent.

In a statement, Mayor Nicholas Yulo said hopefully Gelotin, who is from Barangay Lag-asan, will continue to be an inspiration to all Bagonhons in their quest for excellence.

The mayor is looking forward to meeting the topnotcher and now an engineer by profession Charlene Gelotin and her mother to extend personally his congratulations.

Meanwhile, Sirgie Lowell Alegro Rufo from Silay City and a graduate of CHMSC-Talisay was at rank six after having 91.5 percent rating.

Of the 6,474 examinees, only 2,374 passed the exams, the PRC reported.

The PRC added that the results of examination with respect to five examinees were withheld as per Board Resolution 08 dated November 24, 2021.
