THERE are so many ways to offer our service -- to our fellow, for the environment, or for the nation.
And for Sgt. Clevin Joy G. Conde (Res) Philippine Army (PA) his service and support he offered to the 11th Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command was the reason he was recently recognized.
Conde received recognition during the completion of his Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) CL 01-2021 at 10 DTS, PA (Annex), Sitio Teril in Barangay Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur.
"It's our duty to offer service to our community and to our country, through the people, for peace of the family and for the whole community in general," Conde said.
He said the basic military training he underwent boosted his self-confidence and hope that every struggle will be overcome.
"During training, you will be strengthened so that you can also give and spread hope to other people and be able to help the community. The military doctrine is also there for you to be able to preserve and defend yourself, the other people, and the country," he added.
Conde is also among the young entrepreneurs in Davao City who manages the Amaranta Suites located in Dr. Gahol Ave., DMSF Drive, Bajada, Davao City.
“As a young entrepreneur it is also important to learn military doctrine because through this you can make ways to extend help to your community,” he said.
For several times already, Conde visited far-flung areas in the city to share his blessings, which the most recent was at Muslim Village, in San Rafael, this city to distribute food packs for flood victims.
During his regular visit to underprivileged areas, his friends always accompany him wherein they conduct outreach programs and distribute food and medicines.
"It gives a warm feeling when you are able to help other people who are in dire need of help. This is among the learnings I acquired at the Basic Citizen Military Training, which aims to teach us how and in what ways we can be of help to our fellow and our community," he said.
All of us can be an instrument to make other people happy and to achieve peace, but Conde chose to offer his heartfelt service to help, support, and to protect the community.
