Angeles City distributes cash aid to fire victims

A TOTAL OF seven families who were affected by a fire in Barangay Lourdes Sur East in Angeles City received their P10,000 financial assistance from the Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on November 24, 2021.

Lazatin on November 8 ordered the Local Finance Committee composed of City Budget Office, City Treasurer’s Office and City Accounting Office “to immediately process the financial assistance for the seven families, composed of 27 individuals.”

The funds for the assistance will be taken from the Office of the City Mayor’s regular budget.

Aside from the P10,000 cash assistance, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) headed by Edna Duaso, already distributed food assistance, hygiene kits, banigs, and blankets to the residents on the same day, November 7, 2021, upon the order of Lazatin. (PR)
