Angeles Otop to host 12.12 sale

FOR the second time around, the Angeles City Government’s One Town One Product (Otop) store will be holding a 12.12 sale from December 1 to 12, 2021.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said this is part of the continuous efforts of the City Government toward the “Pasal-One, Angeleño Pa” campaign, which aims to promote local products and help local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) especially under the new normal setting.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel said that for 12 days, beginning December 1, the Otop store, kiosks, Facebook page, Shopee account, will showcase one item from its 17 local MSME members, and put it on sale for that particular day, with 12 percent discount.

On the 12th day of December, Manuel added, the Otop page will hold a special live Facebook selling starting at 7 p.m., where the 17 featured products will be sold at special discounted prices.

Apart from the huge discounts, there will also number of prizes during the 12.12 Otop sale live selling.

Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions Officer-in-Charge Irish Bonus-Llego said included in the 12.12 Otop sale live selling are products of Impact Balibago Arts and Crafts (Ibac), Tamayuc bayong bags, JJBMS water bonsai, Cutud Weavers’ plant baskets, Stitched by RAJ hair bows, bags and purses from recycled plastics by Ellen Turla, wooden kitchenwares by Wood Concept by Madison and Bel’s Woodcraft, kitchen organizers by Flores Handicrafts, capiz-made home decorations by Chilonia Fabrica, ref magnets by Lucio Sison, fashion accessories by K’s Creations, miniature ships by Adto, metal racks by BG Metal Fabrication, hand-painted jars, fork and spoon and clay pots by Tabaks, and dream catchers by Catch your Dreamxx.

Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas recalled the first-ever historic Facebook live selling in 2021, where P71,626 in earnings were wholly given to the local merchants.

She is also encouraging her kababayans to support #GawangAngeleño products and is inviting local MSMEs to exhibit their locally-made products at the Otop store.

The Otop store is also now hosting a best Tiktok contest for all City Hall employees where any #GawangAngeleño products should be featured. Winners are to receive cash prizes, with P10,000 as the highest.
