A HAPPIER and merrier Christmas awaits the 500 regular employees and 2,000 job order workers of the Toledo City Government as they will receive cash bonuses during the holiday season.

Each of the regular employees working at City Hall will receive two months’ worth of salary plus P30,000 in Christmas bonus.

Aside from the city’s regular employees, each of the job order workers at the City Hall will also receive a gratuity bonus worth P5,000.

The impending bonus-giving was announced by Toledo City Mayor Marjorie “Joie” Perales during the inauguration of the city’s newly renovated Toledo Public Plaza on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.

The city’s Public Information Office reported on its Facebook page that Perales, Vice Mayor Jay Sigue and the members of the City Council have seen how hardworking and dedicated the regular and job order employees are to their work.

Sigue said: “Dili lang ang mga regular employees ang nagkugi sa ilang trabaho, apil sab ang mga job order employees.”

(Not only the regular employees work hard on their job, but also the job order employees.)

Perales said she already ordered liaison officers to immediately process the release of the cash bonuses as she wants them given to the employees just before Christmas Day.
