GRUDGE or job-related angles are eyed by the police in the killing of a former member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) in Calatrava town, Negros Occidental around 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 29.

Major Robert Indiape, Calatrava town police chief, said there were witnesses on the killing of Rolando Bustillo, 50, of Barangay Bug-ang in Toboso town, Negros Occidental.

But none of them were able to identify the suspects since the area in Sitio Minauyahan, Barangay Mina-utok where the shooting happened was not well lighted, Indiape said.

Investigation showed that Bustillo was sitting on his tricycle beside the sugarcane transloading station when the suspect shot him and fled with his two companions.

Bustillo was brought to a hospital in the town where he died while being treated.

Indiape said there is a possibility that Bustillo was killed because of his new job as a village watchman.

The police chief said the relatives of Bustillo said that he did not had any death threats prior to his killing.
