CURFEW all over Negros Occidental will still be in effect despite the province being still under Alert Level 2 in terms of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) transmission.

This was stressed by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Tuesday, November 30, as he issued Executive Order (EO) 21-55 Series of 2021, extending the province's alert level status until December 15, 2021.

The current curfew period in Negros Occidental, except for Bacolod City, is 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. for adults and 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. for minors.

Lacson earlier said he prefers the province to maintain under Alert Level 2 despite the decreasing cases of Covid-19.

“The virus is still dominating us and it has not ended yet,” the governor said.

Lacson added: "We still have to be careful especially from the people coming in."

"Again as we are enjoying more this Christmas let us continue to be vigilant and protect ourselves," he said. (With reports from Adrian P. Nemes III)
