THE Philippines remained to be the worst place to be in amid the global coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic based on the latest Bloomberg report on Covid-19 resilience ranking for November 2021.
The country remained at the bottom of the list with a resilience score of 43.1. for November.
Since October, the Philippines has been on the bottom of the list with a resilience score of 40.2 in September and 40.5 in October.
“Southeast Asia continues to populate the bottom of the Ranking, with the Philippines remaining in last place, followed by Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia,” Bloomberg said in its report.
“The lowest two places on the Ranking have given out less than 100 Covid shots per 100 people, a key barrier to improving their scores,” it added.
The report noted that the country administered only 73.2 Covid-19 vaccine doses per 100 people.
The Covid Resilience Ranking is a monthly situationer of areas where the pandemic is being handled effectively with the least social and economic upheaval.
The span virus containment, quality of healthcare, vaccination coverage, overall mortality and progress toward restarting travel were among the indicators used for the scoring.
The United Arab Emirates topped the ranking followed by Chile, Finland, Ireland and Spain.
