AS RESTRICTIONS ease, Anjo World Theme Park has added a new attraction for the public to enjoy.

The park installed 4D eXperience (4DX), which provides a multi-sensory cinematic experience that targets teenagers and young parents.

Cedric Reyes, Anjo World head of sales, marketing and press relations, said the 4DX features 20 movies to choose from. The movie settings include rollercoaster, dinosaur land and Antartic, among others. He said the chairs move in sync with what the guests see during the five- to six- minute ride.

He explains that the theme park wants to offer diverse rides. “Little by little, we will consider some segments of the market,” Reyes said.

It has installed air purifiers inside the building and the 4D glasses are sanitized after every use. “We make sure that the rides are safe,” he added.

Guests will have to pay P250 for the 4D eXperience ride that is open from Monday to Sunday.

With the more relaxed quarantine status, the theme park will now be open from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Cebu is under Alert Level 2.

Anjo World’s new attraction was unveiled in time for the theme park’s second anniversary.

“As we approach the Christmas season, Anjo World gladly opens its door to all ages. Starting Nov. 25, the park opened daily to welcome more visitors,” said Chester Lim, president of Anjo World Theme Park.

Lim assured the public that Anjo World puts a premium on the safety of guests and staff. In fact, the theme park’s staff are already 97 percent fully vaccinated.

He also assured that they are keeping their rides safe and at par with international standards.

Foot traffic, ticket prices

Anjo World’s foot traffic has increased 15 to 20 percent in June this year compared to last year. Pre-pandemic, specifically in December 2019, the number of guests reached 15,000 daily.

Reyes expects the foot traffic to increase further since they are already allowed to accommodate visitors up to 70 percent of venue capacity. However, he assured that they will continue to control the crowd.

Despite the additional expenses the theme park has incurred amid the pandemic, Anjo World ticket prices remain unchanged.

On weekdays, guests can choose from different ticket packages. There are Unli Rides, which go for P500, P700 (with Snow World) and P600 (with 4DeXperience). Junior Unli Rides, which are for children 35 to 55 inches tall, cost P400 for the basic package, P600 with Snow World and P500 for 4D eXperience. And the Super Tres Package, which covers only three rides, is priced at P250, P450 with Snow World and P350 with 4D eXperience.

On weekends, the ticket prices are higher, ranging from P600 to P800 for Unli Rides, P489 to P680 for Junior Unli Rides, and P250 to P450 for the Super Tres package.
