ON your challenging second year, we salute you! Indeed, trendy Anjo World has survived restrictions for the last 21 months!

Who has not forgotten that fateful date March 28, 2020? The start of lockdowns, inconveniences and business stoppages!

On a a happy note! With the lifting of restrictions, and the placing of Cebu on Alert Level 2, Cebu’s first-ever theme park, Anjo World, marked its second anniversary last Nov. 30 with additional exciting attractions that will spell fun for young and old alike!

“As we approach the Yuletide season, we are opening the park daily starting Nov. 25, to all ages. Realizing the importance of health and safety, we have adapted standard protocols to ensure the welfare of our guests and staff. On the subject of staff vaccination, 97 percent are fully vaxxed, soon to be 100 percent,” assured park president Chester Lim.

In support of the recovering economy of the province, Lim said they are one with the government in opening Cebu once more.

“Interestingly, the park’s foot traffic has increased 15 to 20 percent. On Dec. 19, 2020, pre-pandemic time, guests numbered 15,000 daily. This time, with the 70 percent occupancy ruling, more visitors are expected,” said Cedric Reyes, head of sales and marketing. However, they will still control the crowd.

Reyes continued: “For this second anniversary, we are introducing the new 4D eXperience (4DX), which provides a multi-sensory cinematic feel that targets teenagers and young parents. For guests who will ride the 4DX, there will be 20 movie settings to choose from, such as Roller Coaster, Dinosaur Land, Antarctic, among others. The chairs move in sync with what the guests see, during the five- to six-minute ride. Not to worry about health standards, the park has installed air purifiers, with the 4D glasses being sanitized after every use. Safety is always ensured.”

Free wifi will soon be available, as the park has partnered with Smart Communications. No matter the plan or provider, this facility will finalize hopefully by the first week of December. Another perk—guests can scan the QR code to check the menu. Orders can be made online thru cell phones from the six food stalls within the park. While waiting at open-air tables, text messages will then inform guests when to pick up their meals. This is done to prevent crowding and maintain social distancing.

For those celebrating a birthday or milestone, the park is opening Caffe Colloseo, which can accommodate 50-60 people.

Another happy note is that Anjo World Park, as part of its second anniversary, will share its multiple blessings with a number of Cebu’s orphanages.

The children will enjoy the various rides and attractions, as part of the corporate social responsibility of Anjo World. Remember, with the relaxed quarantine statuses, the theme park will be open daily from 12 noon up to 8 p.m.

Start Christmas early! Come one, come all!
