11 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Pampanga

SOME 11 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Pampanga on Monday, November 29, 2021, according to data from the Department of Health’s (DOH) coronavirus tracker, which showed a decline in the number of infections in the province.

This brought the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pampanga to 69,078 cases as of Monday. Of this number, some 67,120 have recovered from the virus.

The total number of active cases was down to 229.

Some 1,729 people have since died of the virus from the start of the pandemic.

The DOH data showed that of the total confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, 53,807 of the confirmed cases were from Pampanga, while another 15,271 were from Angeles City. However, local data from the Provincial Government of Pampanga and Angeles City vary on the actual number of cases, deaths and active cases.

The DOH said Pampanga recorded some 133 new cases in the last 14 days.

The DOH data also showed that local health facilities in Pampanga are no longer stretched compared to previous weeks with the number of coronavirus infections having declined significantly. Of the 47 health facilities in Pampanga, only one was at a critical level while another facility was at high risk.

Pampanga’s bed occupancy was at 9.0 percent, one of the lowest in previous weeks.

This meant that only 96 of the total 1,050 hospital beds available in the province were occupied. Some 954 hospital beds remained vacant.
