Over 250,000 vaccine doses administered in 3 days in Davao

A TOTAL of 253,032 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Davao during the three-day “Bayanihan Bakunahan: National Vaccination Day” as of Thursday, December 1, 2021.

Based on the partial results released by the official Facebook page of the Department of Health-Davao (DOH-Davao), Davao del Norte province had the highest number of vaccine doses administered at 84,349, followed by Davao del Sur with 39,244, Davao de Oro with 36,383, Davao Oriental with 31,012, and Davao Occidental with 9,723.

Davao City vaccinated a total of 52,321 individuals for day 1 and day 2 but has yet to submit their data for day 3.

According to Davao City Vaccination Cluster Head Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, Davao City needs to administer 140,000 doses to achieve herd immunity in the city.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary and Acting Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles said in an interview that another Bayanihan Bakunahan vaccination program is slated for December 15 to 17, 2021.

Based on the national data released by the Department of Health, over 5 million Filipinos were vaccinated as of November 30 during the mass vaccination drive.

The Bayanihan Bakunahan vaccination program from November 29 to December 1, 2021 targets to inoculate 15 million individuals nationwide with first and second doses, pediatric dose for minors, and booster shots for select priority groups.
