WELL-KNOWN and celebrated Kapampangan artist Ana Algabre Hernandez seeks to promote Philippine culture through her artworks.

Hernandez, who is among the artists featured at the Laus Group of Companies' heART of Central Luzon Art Exhibit, said she is showcasing Philippine culture in her artworks to inspire her audience to love their own identity as Filipino.

She said she has particularly chosen to showcase her Landscape of Cordillera series of paintings in the said exhibit to promote the natural beauty of the country.

"I believe ang mga audience natin sa LausGroup ay well-traveled and sometimes when you travel, you forget your own identity kaya ang goal natin is to remind them of their identity as Filipinos," Hernandez said.

The Kapampangan painter, who is also into poetry and book writing, cited the importance of knowing and loving one's culture and history to understand the value of life.

"Kung hindi mo mahal ang iyong kasaysayan, wala kang saysay (If you don’t love your history, you don’t make sense)," she said.

Hernandez's four unique paintings, along with artworks from Central Luzon's artists, can be viewed at select LausGroup car and motorcycle dealerships across Pampanga until December 5.

The HeaART of Central Luzon exhibit is part of Laus Group of Companies' efforts to support local artisans and provide a venue for them to display their unique artworks.
