METHAMPHETAMINE worth P700,000 was seized by police during an operation launched in Mabalacat City over the weekend.
Brigadier General Matthew Baccay, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon director, said the suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from a suspect identified as Alexis Morete, 43, of Barangay Dapdap in the said city.
A total of nine sachets containing “shabu” weighing around 105 grams with an estimated street value of P714,000, P1,000 marked money and other personal belongings were confiscated from the suspect.
Appropriate charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were prepared for court referral.
