15,000 jobs up for grabs

AT LEAST 15,000 local and overseas employment opportunities will be available to jobseekers across the country in celebration of the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) 88th founding anniversary.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III invited displaced workers and jobseekers to take advantage of the 15,569 local and overseas jobs in the "hybrid" job fairs to be participated by 224 participating employers across the regions.

Hybrid job fairs include limited face-to-face and online job applications.

Most of the vacancies are in the business process outsourcing, manufacturing, sales and distribution, accounting, and services sector, Bello said.

A total of 12,598 local jobs mostly for customer service representatives, production workers, sewers, sales associates, salesmen, office staff, helpers, and kitchen crew will be offered by 189 employers.

Meanwhile, 2,971 overseas jobs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Kuwait, and Qatar will be offered by 35 recruitment agencies.

The top vacancies are for registered nurses, bakers, auto mechanics, household service workers, and kitchen crew.

A combination of limited face-to-face and online job fairs will be conducted in the National Capital Region, Bicol Region, Central Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

In Metro Manila, the face-to-face job fair will be held at the DOLE Labor Governance Learning Center, San Jose Street, Intramuros, Manila on December 6.

Applicants who will opt for the online job fair will need to pre-register at the JobQuestPH portal.

In Central Luzon region, Bulacan Polytechnic College in Malolos City will host a limited face-to-face job fair on December 8.
