IN AN order dated October 21, 2021, a Bacolod court appointed Olivia V. Yanson (OVY) as the special administrator of the estate of his late spouse Ricardo B. Yanson, a press release from Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI) said.

The spouses, Ricardo and Olivia, founded the Ceres bus lines with VTI as its flagship company.

As special administrator, OVY is in charge of the preservation and management of the estate of his late husband.

OVY, in her capacity as special administrator and conjugal co-owner, then led the annual stockholders meeting of VTI at its principal office at Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod City on Saturday, December 4.

OVY, Leo Rey V. Yanson (LRY) Ginnette Y. Dumancas, Charles M. Dumancas, Anita G. Chua, Arvin John V. Villaruel and Daniel Nicolas Golez were re-elected as members of VTI’s Board of Directors during the meeting, the firm said.

Following the election of the directors, the board held an organizational meeting where LRY was re-appointed as chairman of the board and president of VTI.

OVY, on the other hand, was reappointed as corporate secretary and treasurer.

The country's biggest bus firm also said that despite all the turbulence experienced by the management in the past two years, it remains strong and resilient as it continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino commuters.

VTI pursues its mission of providing safe and quality transportation to everyone, it added.

The Board, for its part, said "the newly appointed board is excited to see how they can continue to push boundaries to provide quality transportation to every Filipino despite the challenges of the pandemic." (PR)
